What you need …
- Trim what is left of the original wood joints using thewood file.
- Sand until smooth.
- Mark the center for the joint hole.
- Drill a 1/2″ hole 3/4″ deep for each end of the wooden dowel.
- Insert the dowel and check the fit. If it is too loose, you can wedge a toothpick into the joint.
- Remove the dowel.
- Put some glue into the hole and on the dowel.
- Let dry for 1 hour.
- Repeat for the other side.
